ARTIST STATEMENT

Bea Abdelnour-Berchtold (BAB)

Energy, dynamics, spontaneity.
To translate energy into my sculptures, it needs movement directed by my intuition plus a physical action. 
Questioning constantly the prime elements of equilibrium, gravity and a dual of ( harmonious, opposed) interaction in space. 
It encapsulates the development of the tension between body and surface. 
The extreme thinness of my pieces illustrating the fragility of it all. 
The esthetique values are a pure pleasure aspect. Head (consciousness) Heart (intuition) in search of an ideal balance.
