ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH 2026
28th Contemporary Art Fair
8 - 10 May 2026 | Puls 5 Zurich
With around two-thirds of exhibitors being female, this year's ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH fair sends a clear message about the significant presence of women in the art world. The event therefore makes a clear statement about visibility, diversity, and the importance of female perspectives in contemporary art. A central theme is the feminist perspective, reflected in numerous artistic positions dealing with social structures, identity, equality and female experiences.
There is a particular focus on the Galerie Brulhart in Geneva, which, in collaboration with the Fondation Féministe, presents feminist perspectives, thereby bringing committed artistic voices to the fore. The works on display challenge traditional role models, highlight power relations, and offer new insights into female autonomy.
Danielle Creme from Zurich also places a clear emphasis on women's issues in her portfolio, specifically promoting female artists whose work addresses gender and social transformation.
The fair thus becomes a platform where female perspectives are confidently placed at the centre of attention, rather than merely represented. The significant number of female exhibitors highlights the dynamism and innovative power that female artists and gallery owners contribute to the contemporary art scene. This demonstrates that feminist discourse has long been a defining feature of the international art world.
